How does a heat pump:

Heat pump works by removing heat from the air, land and water that transforms to a higher level. Inside pump is a closed circuit refrigerant which in them low temperature absorbs thermal energy from their surroundings by boiling on walls and changes state from liquid to gas. Resulting steam is compressed and compressor power transmitted on walls of circuit. Refrigerated returns to primary and cycle are repeated.


Natural sources of heat for heat pump

When choosing a natural source for heat pump especially considering its availability.

Air

Outdoor unit air from which heat energy is taken back and the air is expelled to outside.

Water

Earth
